HISTORIC PATH

This historic path passes through the revaluation of the ancient village which is characterised by numerous ‘contradas’ tiny groups of old houses, which are rich testimony to the past.

The ‘contradas’ have numerous frescoes and important imagines of the past.

The old village is made-up of baitias for tourists stays, the restoration of which requires the maintaining of the original rural architecture, which is the real cultural and artistic expression of the territory.

There are about 10 baitas situated on a step mountain slope.

They are all from the between the 16th and 18th century and are interesting examples of rural architecture and an art in construction.

This path includes a visit to the ancient sawmill which once worked the wood brought from the numerous woods of the valley.
This ancient building is representative of a number of lives dedicated to the collection of wood from the steep and wild woods of the valley.
